The Teach Tech Afrika has conclude plans to strategically implement technology advocacy in education, speaking with news men in Ilorin the Kwara state capital, the Co-founder of the initiative and EdTech expert Mr. Dauda Fatai said that, the unveiled initiative will give education stakeholders to rob minds on ways to incorperate technology into the teaching and learning processes.
The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the style of education particularly in Africa and by extension in the world, hence the need to prepare for any future emergencies like the pandemic which affected the teaching and learning process.
As NGO we are hopeful that, in preparation for any future emergencies in education, educational technology will be a safety net for all, hence compel technology incorporation in teaching and learning for satisfactory teaching and learning outcome.

“The Teach Tech Afrika objectives is to work in partnership with all stakeholders involved in ensuring that technology is fully implemented by all authorities concerned thereby, set pace for advancement of education in the continent and making learning more compelling and interesting, without jeopardize or replacing the importance of physical teachers in the classroom”s, Dauda positioned.
Also, speaking at the launching event, the Co-founder of the organization and educational based Software Developer Mr. Yusuf Afolabi Abdulrasheed said that, the organization website have hosted various pages that will be of benefit to the users and visitors alike. “In the website, we have a page tagged Learning Hub, the learning Hub which will host many free educational resources that will be of advantage to cross section of our learners, users and visitors across the globe.

Furthermore, Abdulrasheed emphasized the need for government to embrace technology usages in teaching and learning.
From his part, A Product Designer and Tech Strategist, also Co-founder of the organization, Mr. Yahaya Abdulhakeem opined that, COVID-19 has taught us unforgettable lessons to always reflect on, the total shutdown of schools will forever be remember, which negative impact is till fresh in the system. “By now all hands must be on deck as it became necessary for us all to embrace the use of technology in our education, this will serve as a precaution action against future emergencies in the sector, Abdulhakeem concluded.

The event which was held at SATCOM media consult hub, Ilorin, featuring paper presentation, launching of the official website and all other social media handles for the organization. The event was well attended by stakeholders in education.
